Hard state policy

Pakistan is grappling with multiple challenges whether it is economic instability , regional tensions, climate change , unemployment, corruption or etc , all these factors contribute to uncertainty in society. To address these issues people choose roads and streets and protest against the bad governance and misuse of power. On the other hand ,government impose section 144 to restrict the protesters and strip the rights of people to protest. Moreover ,police baton charges, use water cannons and shells to disperse the crowd. Government continuously is using the same strategy to prevent people from protest but the gap between people and state is getting wider. If the government continues to use such tactics the turmoil and unrest is inevitable. Hard state policy is a major threat to democracy ,which can lead to unimaginable consequences. We have already seen the rampant terrorism just because of arbitrary decisions of government. If government of Pakistan follows the same track then the things will get tough and will face further exacerbation. To bridge the gap between government and people it’s imperative that the government should engage people and resolve the issues through political dialogues rather than suppression. Political consensus is the most effective way to deal with dilemmas and tackle the obstacles.
