A veil, an enigma, a cloak,
A question no answer can hold,
An answer beyond scrutiny,
A breath, a thought, a feeling,
A feeling unknown, a breath undrawn,
Wondering what it is,
An undenied creation,
An unaddressed creation,
A creation that is amar,
A creation beyond answers,
A child hungry for an answer,
Wondering what it is,
A whisper that says, “Be yourself,”
A question: what is the self?
A child that is silent,
A youth without a voice,
An elder slowly dying,
Wondering what it is.
